The 6th Annual Urban Music Awards in London were called off on Saturday (15Nov08) after a triple stabbing left one guest in critical condition and two others wounded.
Organisers were forced to abandon the ceremony after an hour and a half when a massive brawl erupted, forcing police to seal off the O2 Arena in the British capital to keep 300 people inside the venue until the early hours of Sunday.
Guests questioned told authorities they had witnessed chairs, champagne bottles and broken glass fly through the air.
It is not yet known which celebrities were in attendance, but British artists including Estelle, Adele, Leona Lewis, Dizzee Rascal and Duffy were among the stars nominated for awards.
London's Metropolitan Police have confirmed that one man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
