S CLUB 7 singer JO O'MEARA has been admitted to hospital after she was hit on the head with a bottle during a reunion gig.
The singer collapsed to her knees and had to be helped off the stage following the incident at a nightclub show on Wednesday (12Nov08), which left her with a gaping two-inch head wound.
The Don't Stop Movin' hitmakers split in 2004, but lead singer O'Meara, Bradley McIntosh and Paul Cattermole reunited as S Club 3 for a handful of appearances across Britain - and it was when they performed onstage in Bradford, England that the attack took place.
Immediately after the incident, McIntosh shouted to the crowd, “It takes just one idiot to ruin everybody’s night. If you are going to throw a glass, throw it at me... you had to spoil it.”
O'Meara is now recovering at home in London - but is more concerned that fans didn't get their money's worth out of the evening: “We were all having a great time until the incident and would like to apologise to fans that our set was cut short.”
A 20-year-old male is being questioned by the police.
