BOYZONE FIGHT WITH RIHANNA'S BAND

Irish pop band BOYZONE have been involved in a drunken punch up with members of RIHANNA's band after one of the men flirted with a female member of the singer's entourage.

The band were in Australia when they met a group of the Bajan beauty's back-up players in a nightclub last week (beg03Nov08) - and when one of the Irishmen made approached a pretty female in the group, a scuffle ensued.

Boyzone member Stephen Gately tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "Well, we did get in to a fight - certainly more than a difference of opinion. We are keeping up that fine image of Irish and too much booze.

"It was over a girlfriend of one of Rihanna's band members. We just wanted to chat and be friendly and this guy tries to rough us up.

"It was his girl and then all the other guys from the band start getting fresh with us - so it was on there and then."

And a source adds, "Her boyfriend took offence and all hell broke loose with fists flying everywhere. The boys held their own despite being unsteady on their feet. Security came to break it all up. They got a stern talking to."
