FEDERLINE SPEAKS OUT ABOUT JAYDEN'S HOSPITALISATION

KEVIN FEDERLINE has praised ex-wife BRITNEY SPEARS' quick thinking after their son was admitted to hospital having suffered an allergic reaction.

Jayden James, two, collapsed at the Toxic hitmaker's family home in Kentwood, Louisiana on Sunday (09Nov08) and doctors concluded he had a reaction to "something he ingested."

The singer took the tot home late on Monday night (10Nov08) - and Federline is happy with the youngster's swift medical treatment.

A spokesperson for Federline says, "I think that whatever it is, a food allergy or some other case, we don't know yet.

"We're pleased that someone was aware enough to see that he was having some sort of reaction and do what was necessary to make sure there were no chances taken and got Jayden to the appropriate facility and got the appropriate evaluation to be timely."

And the rep added that Federline had no immediate plans to get the courts involved and call for an investigation into what went wrong: "We're not going to jump to conclusions right now. I don't anticipate there being a hearing.

"I anticipate that Kevin and Britney as concerned parents will exchange information and satisfy themselves that what happened was a freak occurrence and do what they have to do to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

"Kevin was considering going to Louisiana, but the information that we had was Jayden was already checked out. The kids will be back with Kevin shortly, not yet."

The tot is now on the road to recovery - Spears took Jayden and her sister Jamie Lynn to an alligator farm on Tuesday (11Nov08).
