The DreamWorks movie, starring Ben Stiller, Jada Pinkett Smith, Chris Rock and David Schwimmer, among others, scored a whopping $63.5 million (GBP39.6 million) in its opening week on release, according to studio estimates.

The family film pulled in more cash than the rest of the top four put together.

Comedy Role Models came in second, High School Musical 3 slipped to third and Clint Eastwood's new movie Changeling debuted at four.
