SIMPSON PAPARAZZO INJURES FRIEND

JESSICA SIMPSON spent part of her Saturday night (01Nov08) in hospital after her stylist friend KEN PAVES was injured by a photographer trying to take the singer's picture.

The pop star was leaving Madeo restaurant in Los Angeles with the celebrity hairdresser when a scrum of paparazzi descended upon the group.

But as they tried to get into their waiting car, Paves was hit near his eye with a camera, leaving him with blood trickling down his face, according to website TMZ.com.

Simpson's driver took them to a local hospital - where the singer accompanied Paves into the building to seek medical care.
