FALL OUT BOY SPARK SECURITY SCARES AT AIRPORTS

Rockers FALL OUT BOY are often treated like terrorists at airports when security staff who fail to recognise them find pyrotechnic residue on their luggage.

Guitar cases onstage are showered with fireworks at concerts and the residue leaves airport security chiefs baffled.

The group most recently hit problems during a stopover in Canada on Wednesday (29Oct08).

Bass player Pete Wentz explains, "When they X-Ray our bags sometimes, they have residue from the pyro and it shows up as an explosive. Then you have a passport with all the places you've been to; you're going to Canada for a day. They're like, 'Sure, OK!'"
