BLACK ICE FREEZES OVER U.K. ALBUMS CHART

Australian rockers AC/DC have stormed straight to the top of the U.K. albums chart with new LP BLACK ICE to score their first British number one in 28 years.

The band, which was last at number one with 1980's Back in Black, left Kaiser Chiefs' Off With Their Heads trailing behind at number two, while Kings of Leon remain in third place with Only By The Night.

Meanwhile, in the U.K. singles chart, Girls Aloud have displaced Pink's So What to take the new number one with their song The Promise.

The Guru Josh Project is new in third place with Infinity 2008.
