Comedian RUSSELL BRAND and British TV host JONATHAN ROSS have sparked outrage with a series of lewd phone calls to actor ANDREW SACHS.
Brand bragged to pal Ross during a radio show earlier this month (Oct08) that he had slept with Sachs' granddaughter.
The pair then made a series of on-air phone calls to the actor, leaving crude voicemail messages suggesting Brand had bedded Sachs' 23-year-old granddaughter Georgina on a sofa and a garden swing.
The calls were made during Brand's show on BBC Radio 2, which was co-hosted by U.K. chatshow king Ross.
A spokesman for Sachs, who is best known for his role as bumbling Spanish waiter Manuel in classic British comedy Fawlty Towers, said: "Andrew is deeply upset by this, and terribly hurt. He can't understand why it happened and was particularly sorry that they kept leaving messages on his answerphone."
British MP Philip Davies has called for the BBC to launch disciplinary proceedings against Brand and Ross over the incident.
