PHIL SPECTOR's murder retrial will begin next week (27Oct08) after five women and seven men were selected to form the jury on Thursday (23Oct08).
Six alternate jurors are still to be chosen.
Opening statements are due to start on Monday and experts expect the retrial to last for several months.
Record producer Spector is accused of murdering actress Lana Clarkson at his Alhambra, California mansion in February, 2003.
A jury reached a deadlock in favour of convicting Spector last year (07), prompting a Los Angeles judge to declare a mistrial.
