MADONNA: 'I'M LONELY'

MADONNA is feeling all alone since her split with husband GUY RITCHIE - she told a concert audience she was 'lonely'.

The Holiday hitmaker and Ritchie announced in a statement on Wednesday (15Oct08) that they are to divorce following seven years of marriage.

Ritchie is continuing filming on his forthcoming film Sherlock Holmes and the singer is soldiering on with her Sticky + Sweet world tour following the news.

But the singer revealed the strain the separation is having on her.

She told crowds at a show in Toronto, Canada: "I'm lonely and I need company", before singing Miles Away - the same song she used to allegedly slam Ritchie last week (15Oct08).

Madonna told the audience at the Boston, Massachusetts concert she was dedicating the track to the "emotionally retarded", before adding, "You may know a few people like that. God knows I do."
