SKAGGS WINS BIG AT INSPIRATIONAL COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS
Bluegrass superstar RICKY SKAGGS was the big winner at the Inspirational Country Music Awards on Thursday night (16Oct08) when he picked up three prizes.
Skaggs was named Musician of The Year, and his most recent work with the Whites earned him Mainstream Country Artist and Inspirational Bluegrass Artist trophies at the Hendersonville, Tennessee event.
Other big winners included Tracy Lawrence (Video of The Year for Till I Was a Daddy Too), George Strait (Mainstream Inspirational Song for I Saw God Today) the Bellamy Brothers (Vocal Duo), Sonya Isaacs (Best Female Vocalist), Del Way (Best Male Vocalist) and CrossCountry Band (Entertainer of The Year).
