MADONNA AND RITCHIE WEDDING PHOTOS EMERGE

Never-before-seen photos of MADONNA and GUY RITCHIE's wedding day have surfaced - just days after the couple announced plans to divorce.

The pop superstar and director Ritchie wed in a ceremony in Scotland in December 2000, but photos from the nuptials were never released to the press.

Now a selection of the photos have been published in Britain's The Mail on Sunday newspaper, showing the singer in her $34,600 (GBP20,000) wedding dress - designed by her maid of honour Stella McCartney - and her borrowed $98,265 (GBP170,000) Edwardian diamond tiara.

The then-newlyweds are also captured sharing a kiss after exchanging vows, with Ritchie wearing a traditional Scottish kilt.

Guests included actor Jason Statham and director Matthew Vaughn, who can both be seen posing with Ritchie as the groom's party enjoy some shooting in the Highlands.

The bride's guests at the wedding included close friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

Madonna and Ritchie confirmed reports they are heading for a divorce on Wednesday (15Oct08).
