FIELDER-CIVIL'S MUM IGNORES WINEHOUSE TO 'FOCUS' ON SON'S RELEASE

AMY WINEHOUSE's mother-in-law rarely speaks to the troubled singer - because she is concentrating on her son's release from prison.

Georgette Civil, mother of Winehouse's incacerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil, has stuck by her son throughout his imprisonment, and is adamant she is the one who can put him on the right track once he is released.

Fielder-Civil is currently serving a 27-month jail sentence at Highpoint Prison in Suffolk, England after he was convicted of causing actual bodily harm (ABH) and perverting the course of justice.

But Civil has confessed she has little time for the Rehab singer, and doesn't believe her son should live with Winehouse once he is freed from prison.

She tells People.com, "I don't speak to Amy. I focus all my efforts on my son and getting him out. He's doing very well. He's doing very, very well."

And Civil blames the singer's media profile for her son's lengthy prison spell - claiming Winehouse's constant tabloid appearances have had a "huge impact" on Fielder-Civil's sentence.

She adds, "I feel all the media attention on Amy has probably had an impact on my son's release. That's probably the hardest part of all. As a mother, what would any mother think when she sees Amy? It has had a huge impact."
