AUSTRALIAN IDOL DIES IN HOTEL PLUNGE

A former AUSTRALIAN IDOL contestant has died in a fall from a hotel balcony.

Levi Kereama, who performed with his brothers in R+B group Lethbridge, plunged to his death from a Brisbane hotel on Saturday night (04Oct08).

According to Australian newspaper reports, Kereama, 27, was suffering from depression.

Just hours earlier, the singer had played at the Parklife Festival in Brisbane's Botanic Gardens and Riverstage.

Kereama appeared in the first season of Australian Idol in 2003.
