ARNOLD IN DETOX

Actor TOM ARNOLD is completing a rigorous detox regime, after finding himself addicted to soda, cake and nicotine gum.

After battling drug and alcohol for many years, Arnold replaced them with more legal vices - and confesses he now over indulges in Diet Coke and nicotine gum, going through more than 40 in a day.

He says, "The problem is, the moderation thing, is not my thing. I've had 30 Diet Cokes in 12 hours on set and then I'll eat a whole cake. After I quit cigars, I got addicted to Nicorette."

So he is in the middle of a tough detox that he claims is harder than drug rehab.

The 49-year-old says, "I've been on a cleanse. I have had no caffeine, nicotine, sugar or gluten for two and a half weeks. It's a three week thing. And it's going ok.

"The first three days I was hallucinating. it was way worse than rehab for drugs. In rehab they give you a little something to take the edge off. I was doing this cold turkey."
