BECKHAM 'FURIOUS' OVER SLIMMING PILLS CLAIMS

Former SPICE GIRL VICTORIA BECKHAM was furious at reports she used diet pills, insisting the claims were 'ludicrous'.

The singer was accused of taking slimming tablets to lose weight by a British celebrity magazine.

Beckham is suing the publication over the claims, which also stated that the star's sister, Louise, was transporting the tablets from the U.K. to her home in Los Angeles.

She tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "It's such an irresponsible thing for someone to say. Lots of young girls do look up to me, and I just think it's ludicrous that they can completely make something like that up.

"You have to take these things really seriously. There are young girls out there who will think it's cool to take slimming tablets. Things like that are dangerous and we were furious with it."
