DOUBTS OVER SIMPSON EVIDENCE

A recording of O.J. SIMPSON storming into a Las Vegas hotel room during an alleged armed robbery could not be authenticated, a FBI examiner has testified.

Simpson is accused of robbing sports dealer Bruce Fromong at gunpoint in Las Vegas last year (07).

Prosecutors claims they have audio evidence to support their case. It allegedly includes Simpson shouting obscenities in the so-called "sting".

But Kenneth Marr, an audio examiner with the FBI, told Sin City's Clark County District Court it was "not feasible" to confirm whether or not the digital recording had been manipulated in any way.

Simpson and friend Clarence Stewart have been charged with 12 counts of robbery, conspiracy, kidnapping and assault that could result in life prison sentences if they are convicted.

The trial continues.
