British pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS has launched an award scheme for pupils at his former school who have overcome crises at home or coped with disabilities.

The former Take That star will hand out signed certificates and handwritten messages to successful pupils at St Margaret Ward Catholic School and Arts College, in Stoke-on-Trent, England.
The star's mother, Jan, said honours will go to kids who have shown courage in the face of troubles at home.
Williams has fought his own battles against drugs, alcohol and depression.
