OASIS SCRAP SECOND SHOW

OASIS have scrapped a second show on their North American tour to allow NOEL GALLAGHER to recover from an onstage attack.

The band has cancelled its Friday night (12Sep08) gig New York's Terminal 5 venue because the guitarist still feels too battered and bruised to perform.

Gallagher fell awkwardly onto monitor speakers during a festival show in Toronto, Canada on Sunday (07Sep08) - after a fan charged at him and knocked him off balance.

Gallagher, who was briefly hospitalised after the attack, has lashed out at security at the event for letting the man, Daniel Sullivan, get so close to him.

The guitarist is still nursing a bruised hip and ribs - injuries which prompted Oasis to postpone a show earlier this week in London, Ontario.

Despite the cancellation, Oasis still plan to promote their new album, Dig Out Your Soul, by teaching four new songs to a group of 30 street musicians on Friday. The publicity stunt is part of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Music Under New York initiative.
