CAMPBELL BEGINS COMMUNITY SERVICE SENTENCE

NAOMI CAMPBELL began community service in a soup kitchen on Tuesday (09Sep08), arriving 10 minutes late on her first day.

The catwalk stunner, 38, was tardy as she showed up at London's Whitechapel Mission centre in a chauffeur-driven limousine.

But she was spared from the shelter's more difficult chores like cleaning - and was instead made to help with paperwork.

A source tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "It's usually pretty gruelling work but not for her. She was friendly enough and said hello but she didn't look too chuffed (excited)."

Campbell was sentenced to 200 hours of community service after she admitted to spitting at police officers at London's Heathrow Airport in April (08).
