Country music legend BUDDY HARMAN has died at the age of 79.
Harman, who played drums on more than 18,000 records, passed away at his home in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday (21Aug08) after suffering congestive heart failure.
The star played drums on a variety of classic songs including Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire, Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison, and Crazy by Patsy Cline.
Harman also worked with rock greats including Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis.
