PRODUCER FINN DIES

Record producer JERRY FINN has died. He was 39.

Finn, who crafted albums for American pop-punk bands Blink-182 and Green Day, suffered a brain haemorrhage in July (08), and was taken off life support earlier this month (Aug08).

His last production work was on British singer Morrissey's record Years of Refusal, which is due to be released early next year (09).

Finn began his career as a studio engineer in the early 1990s before moving behind the mixing desk for bands including The Offspring, Sum 41, and Rancid.

Friends and family are reportedly planning a memorial service and a scholarship fund in Finn's honour.
