Rapper BANG EM SMURF is planning a return to the U.S. - despite being deported to his native Trinidad earlier this year (08).
The star - one of the founding members of 50 Cent's G-Unit crew - was released from Ossining, New York's Sing Sing Correctional Facility in March (08) after serving time for a gun charge. He was subsequently deported from the country.
But Smurf, who grew up in the Big Apple's tough Southside Jamaica area in Queens, is making plans to go back to New York, even though he freely admits it would be harder for him to stay out of trouble if he returns.
He tells HipHopDX.com, "(I was released from prison) five months ago. I've just been laying low. I've been in the studio recording and s**t... I got deported and all that.
"I'm definitely coming back (to the United States). But for the time being, I'm down here getting my mind right and my situation right. I think it'll be better for me down here than in New York. 'Cause there's a lot of sh**t going on, and I would've been involved in all of that."
