JAY-Z SONG DEBUT WASN'T PLANNED

Rap superstar JAY-Z had no intention to hit the stage at KANYE WEST's recent New York show - but felt obliged to after the STRONGER hitmaker requested his presence.

Jay-Z debuted a new song, titled Jockin' Jay-Z (Dope Boy Fresh), from his forthcoming Blueprint 3 album at West's concert in Madison Square Garden last week (begs04Aug08) - a track which West produced.

The tune was a big hit with fans at the gig - but the 99 Problems star admits the appearance was an impromptu one, as he'd just planned on fading into the background to watch West's highly acclaimed Glow In The Dark set.

He says, "I really went to see his show. I walked into the dressing room and he (West) was like, 'Let's do this'. I couldn't tell him no, it was his show."
