ROCK AND ICE-CUBE PAY TRIBUTE TO MAC

CHRIS ROCK and rapper ICE-CUBE have paid tribute to comedian BERNIE MAC who died on Saturday (09Aug08).

Mac passed away after losing his battle with pneumonia at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He was 50.

Ice Cube, who directed Mac in his first significant movie role as Pastor Clever in 1995 film Friday, tells the MTV US News website, "Today and tomorrow will never be as funny as yesterday, without Bernie Mac, a true original."

And Rock, who worked with the star in comedy movie Head of State, was keen to echo the sentiment.

He tells E! online that Mac was "one of the best and funniest comedians to ever live, but that was the second-best thing he did. Bernie was one of the greatest friends a person could have.

Rock adds, "Losing him is like losing 12 people, because he absolutely filled up any room he was in. I'm gonna miss the Mac Man."

Bernie Mac was a true comedian and a nice and funny man that i know he was a good friend and a good support of him i tribute him in love beyond a fan a and a family of a queens newyorkers man to a stand up stage to a movie producer to a actor he was a #1 friend i love is own show that name after him and his dvd and in movies i am a loving person dat i meet him in a plane and in the airports also on stage i give him a trustworth respect to him and his family who were there for him.
