PERRY KISSES HER WAY TO TOP OF U.K. CHARTS

Pop sensation KATY PERRY has topped the U.K. charts with her debut release.

The 23-year-old's smash hit I Kissed A Girl rocketed from number four to knock Kid Rock's All Summer Long from the top spot.

British rapper Dizzee Rascal fell one place to three with Dance Wiv Me and Script's The Man Who Can't Be Moved dropped to four.

The only new entry in the top ten was Love is Noise by British band the Verve, which came in at five.

In the British album charts, ABBA held on to the number one spot for a second week with Gold - Greatest Hits, which re-entered the charts last week, 16 years after its original release date.
