LATEST: The stolen van belonging to punk icons IGGY POP + THE STOOGES has been recovered - but the band's equipment has yet to be found.
The truck - containing the group's gear - was stolen outside their hotel after a concert in Montreal, Canada on Monday (04Aug08).
And Canadian police have confirmed the vehicle has now been found abandoned a short distance from the place where it was stolen.
But there is no sign of any of the items which were stored inside.
The rockers have launched a new website appealing for help in tracking down the missing equipment.
