SONGWRITERS SUE OVER JERSEY BOYS ROYALTIES
Two songwriters are suing record giant EMI, claiming they are owed royalty payments from the hit Broadway musical JERSEY BOYS.
L. Russell Brown and the estate of the late Raymond Bloodworth have filed a $100,000 (GBP50,000) suit at Manhattan's Supreme Court, alleging they have been underpaid for the use of the song C'Mon Marianne, which they wrote and which appears in the show - about the life and careers of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
A spokesperson for EMI insists the pair has been paid correctly.
