WITHERSPOON + GYLLENHAAL 'NOT ENGAGED'

LATEST: REESE WITHERSPOON and JAKE GYLLENHAAL have denied reports they are to marry.

Brokeback Mountain star Gyllenhaal was rumoured to have proposed to the 32-year-old actress and reports claimed the couple was planning a winter (08) wedding.

But representatives for both stars have dismissed the stories, telling People.com, "They are not engaged, getting married or any of the reports."

The pair met in 2006 on the set of their thriller Rendition.
