COLDPLAY ALBUM SLATED BY PRODUCER

British band COLDPLAY's latest album was slated by legendary producer BRIAN ENO before it was even recorded, according to frontman CHRIS MARTIN.

The rocker and his band enlisted the former Roxy Music keyboardist to help with their latest album Viva La Vida - but were shocked when Eno unleashed his thoughts on their songs.

Martin says, "He said, 'Your songs are too long, you're too repetitive and your lyrics aren't good enough.’

"Within 20 minutes we'd forgotten about all our previous record sales."
