STOP LOSS
Cast: Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ryan Phillippe, Timothy Olyphant, Rob Brown
Synopsis: Decorated Iraq war hero Sgt. Brandon King makes a celebrated return to his small Texas hometown following his tour of duty. Brandon tries to resume the life he left behind with the help and support of his family and his best friend, Steve Shriver, who served with him in Iraq. Alongside their war-time buddies, Brandon and Steve try to make peace with civilian life. Then, against Brandon's will, the Army orders him back to duty in Iraq. This upends Brandon's entire world. The conflict into which he is thrown tests everything he believes in: the bond of family, the loyalty of friendship, the limits of love, and the value of honor.
AMERICAN ZOMBIE
Cast: Al Vicente, Austin Basis, Jane Edith Wilson, John Solomon, Suzy Nakamura
Synopsis: Despite their wildly different working styles, Grace and John manage to chronicle the hopes and dreams of four fascinating subjects: IVAN, a convenience-store clerk who longs for a career in publishing; LISA, a florist trying to recover her lost memories; JUDY, a hopeless romantic who learns to accept her true nature; and JOEL (pronounced “Ho-El”), a committed political activist striving for zombie rights. As Grace strives to get to know the zombies “on their own terms,” John is eager to uncover their darker side and rallies to get the crew permission to shoot at a three-day, zombies-only retreat called Live Dead where the documentary takes an unexpected – and dangerous – turn. What transpires there is beyond anything the filmmakers could imagine, as they are forced to re-evaluate their ideas about tolerance, identity politics and the future of the human race.
SLEEPWALKING
Cast: Charlize Theron, Dennis Hopper, Nick Stahl, Woody Harrelson, AnnaSophia Robb
Synopsis: Forced out of her home after her boyfriend is arrested, Joleen Reedy (Charlize Theron) needs a place to stay with her 11-year-old daughter, Tara (AnnaSophia Robb). She turns for help to her younger brother, James (Nick Stahl)— a simple and overly trusting man who doesn’t hesitate to welcome them into his modest rental apartment.
Almost as soon as she moves in, however, Joleen hits the road with another man. Utterly illequipped to be the sole guardian of an adolescent girl, James does his best to make his distraught niece happy. But before long, things spin out of control: he loses his job and Tara is put into foster care.
That’s when James makes a fateful decision that will bring his life full circle and force him to face his demons. He takes off with Tara and the pair assumes new identities as father and daughter.
What starts out as a ploy to evade authorities takes on a deeper significance as James strives to become the dad Tara never had, and for the first time finds a true purpose in life. But when their road trip takes them to the Utah farm where James grew up, old wounds reopen between James and his father (Dennis Hopper), whose emotionally abusive and sometimes violent ways have changed little since James was a boy.

Desperate for any kind of help, Brenda takes her family to Georgia for the funeral. But nothing could have prepared her for the Browns, her father’s fun-loving, crass Southern clan. In a small-town world full of long afternoons and country fairs, Brenda struggles to get to know the family she never knew existed…and finds a brand new romance that just might change her life.
THE TRACEY FRAGMENTS
Cast: Ellen Page, Ari Cohen, Erin McMurtry, Slim Twig, Stephen Amell
Synopsis:
15-year-old Tracey Berkowitz (Best Actress Oscar-nominee Ellen Page) is riding around a pre-blizzard urban wasteland on the back of a city bus, naked except for the tattered curtain she’s wrapped in, and looking for her missing brother (whom she has hypnotised to think he's a dog.)
Based on screenwriter Maureen Medved’s novel of the same name, THE TRACEY FRAGMENTS uses highly inventive and dynamic Mondrian-like split screens to tell the story of exactly how she wound up there. On screen for nearly every frame of the film, Page delivers a tour-de-force performance that cements her status as one of the most exciting young actresses on screen today.
