MY BLOODY VALENTINE MAKE LIVE RETURN

Irish rockers MY BLOODY VALENTINE made a triumphant live comeback at a London gig on Friday (13Jun08) - in their first concert in 16 years.

The Tremelo stars played a warm-up show at the ICA in preparation for the start of their tour next week (20Jun08).

And fans were delighted to see their idols back on stage, cheering frontman Kevin Shields and the band on as they ran through their hits, including Soon, Feed Me With Your Kiss and Only Shallow.

Kicking off the gig, Shields told the crowd: "Welcome to our rehearsal. The real gigs start next week at the Roundhouse (in London)."

My Bloody Valentine rose to fame in the 1990s but split in 1997. They reunited in 2007 and will make their official return to the road later this month (Jun08).
