ROTTEN ACCUSED OF BEATING ASSISTANT

SEX PISTOLS star JOHN LYDON has been accused of beating a female assistant after taping a 2007 TV show.

The punk rocker - also known as Johnny Rotten - allegedly punched Roxanne Davis in the face called her a 'c**t' and a 'whore'.

In a lawsuit filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday (04Jun08), it is claimed Lydon, "cocked back his fist ... and punched her in the face" during an incident in a hotel room.

Davis - who was an employee of the show Lydon was working on - says she reported the incident to her supervisor, "but the complaints fell on deaf ears," reports TMZ.com.

A spokesman for Lydon was unavailable for comment.
