LORENZO'S OIL INSPIRATION DIES

The man who inspired 1992 Oscar-winning movie LORENZO'S OIL has died at the age of 30.

Lorenzo Odone was born with a debilitating nerve disease and doctors predicted he wouldn't live beyond eight-years-old.

His parents - played by Nick Nolte and Susan Sarandon - fought to invent an oil that helped counter the disease.

Odone died at his home in Virginia on 30 May (08), just a day after his 30th birthday.
