COMBS KEEPS IT CHEAP AS HE JETS TO CANNES

Rap mogul SEAN 'DIDDY' COMBS kept the costs down as he flew to France for his first Cannes International Film Festival in France - because he wanted to prove he doesn't need his entourage with him at all times.

The hitmaker-turned-actor was hoping his festival appearance would help him land a leading film role and so he wanted his arrival to be a serious, low-key affair.

Combs admits he shunned private jets and took a commercial flight from the U.S. and sat for much of the journey with a blanket on his head, so fellow passengers wouldn't recognise him.

As for the reason behind his low-key trip, Combs says, "As an actor, a lot of directors and producers they don't want to deal with my entourage so I'm flying by myself.

"I'm a movie star in the making."

But he wasn't living down for long - upon his arrival in Cannes, France, Diddy and his European stylists took over a massive luxury yacht, which was anchored just offshore.
