MTV CROWNS WEST THE HOTTEST MC IN THE GAME

Hip-hop star KANYE WEST has beaten rap heavyweights JAY-Z, 50 CENT and SNOOP DOGG to be named MTV's Hottest MC In The Game.

KANYE WEST

The Stronger hitmaker ranked ahead of his Roc-A-Fella Records boss Jay-Z and last year's (07) favourite Lil Wayne, who came in at numbers two and three, respectively.

West topped the 2008 poll after a hugely successful 12 months, which saw his album Graduation beat 50 Cent's Curtis to the U.S. Billboard number one, when the two LPs were released last September (07).

The top 10 is as follows:
