CHURCH PROMOTES BREASTFEEDING INITIATIVE
Welsh singer CHARLOTTE CHURCH is urging new mothers to breast feed their babies
Charlotte Church kick-starts a year-long Welsh Assembly campaign promoting the benefits of breast feeding to young mothers at the Wales Millennium Centre. Cardiff, Wales - 12.05.08
The star, who gave birth to daughter Ruby with rugby player Gavin Henson in September (07), has chosen to speak out about the benefits of the practice as part of the U.K.'s Breastfeeding Awareness Week (11-17May08). She says, "It was reassuring knowing that Ruby had extra protection from chest, ear and stomach infections, as well as from diabetes and allergies. "On top of that, breastfeeding is free and really convenient."
