MAKEUP ARTIST CAPTURES BRIDGES' FIRST MOMENT WITH HIS WIFE

JEFF BRIDGES has a cherished photograph of the first time he spoke to his wife - thanks to an observant make-up man.

The Big Lebowski star was shooting Rancho Deluxe in Montana in 1975 when he fell for the waitress who was to become his wife.

But it took Bridges quite a while to pluck up the courage to ask the girl out - a moment that he never knew was caught on camera.

The actor says, "Cut to 15 years later, we're married, and the make-up man from that movie sends me and old photograph of me talking to some local girl.

"He'd just come across it in his files; didn't even know I was married. It was a photograph of the first words I ever uttered to my wife."

Bridges and his wife Susan have been married since 1977.
