STEVENS: 'I WANT TO BE HIP AT GLASTONBURY'

Veteran singer SHAKIN' STEVENS is hoping to ditch his trademark 1950's look in favour of a new 'trendy' look for his upcoming performance at legendary English music festival Glastonbury.

The star, who has scored 34 top 40 hit singles in the U.K. alone throughout his career, is still going strong at 60 and was recently announced as one of the main acts to be playing at the prestigious event this summer (08).

But the This Ole House star is trading in his regular old-fashioned garments in a bid to "fit in" with the young crowd at Glastonbury.

He says, "There will be no white boots, no pink jackets and no denims.

"It's the biggest festival there is. In my own way, I'll fit in easily."
