DOURDAN PLANS TO TEACH OTHERS ABOUT THE DANGERS OF DRUGS

LATEST: Shamed CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION star GARY DOURDAN is planning a series of events to 'get the word out that you don't need a bunch of nasty chemicals to have a good time' in the wake of his drug possession arrest last week (28Apr08).

GARY DOURDAN

The actor was apprehended by police in Palm Springs, California after he was found asleep in his incorrectly parked car after attending the Coachella Festival.

Dourdan hopes to announce his plans by the time he is arraigned on 28 May (08).

The actor has already apologised publicly to fans and now he's apologising to country star Taylor Swift after his legal woes in the desert forced him to pull out of a planned awards show to honour the singer.

Dourdan was set to present Swift with an award at Hollywood Life magazine's 10th Annual Young Hollywood Awards last week.

He says, "I am so sorry to all my fans, especially the young ones, like Taylor Swift, who I should've been supporting... instead of driving tired in the desert."
