CORDELL COMMITS SUICIDE

TARKA CORDELL, the musician son of late legendary music producer DENNY CORDELL, has committed suicide.

The British rocker took his own life in London on Monday (28Apr08). No other details about his death were available.

Cordell, 40, was the son of millionaire producer Denny who was credited with making Joe Cocker an international star and discovering The Cranberries. Cordell senior died of cancer in 1995.

Tarka began as a Hollywood screenwriter but later launched his own music career, during which he was romantically linked to stars including Kate Moss and Liv Tyler.

Cordell's older brother Barney confirmed the tragic news, saying, "I'm afraid Tarka has taken his own life.

"We are all tremendously sad. He had just come back from India. Nothing has been settled for the funeral."
