NEWSMAN LEHRER UNDERGOES HEART SURGERY
U.S. newsman JIM LEHRER has undergone successful heart valve surgery.
JIM LEHRER
The NewsHour host had the operation last Wednesday (23Apr08) after complaining of illness and checking into a Massachusetts medical facility. He spent two days in hospital.
Lehrer is expected to return to front the PBS network nightly show, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, next month (May08).
