MADONNA HANGS ON TO U.K. NUMBER ONE

Pop superstar MADONNA has kept her hold of the U.K. singles chart with her track 4 MINUTES keeping the top spot for a second week.

MADONNA and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE

The Holiday hitmaker topped the chart last week (20Apr08) with the song - her collaboration with Justin Timberlake.

Sam Sparro has climbed to second place with Black and Gold, with Estelle and Kanye West's single American Boy dropping to third.

Wearing My Rolex by Wiley is a new entry at number four, followed by September's Cry For You.

The British album chart has been topped by Arctic Monkey's frontman Alex Turner - with his side project, The Last Shadow Puppets' The Age Of The Understatement, scoring the top slot in its first week.

Konk by The Kooks sits at number two, followed by Leona Lewis' Spirit at three.

The rest of the top five is rounded out by Rockferry by Duffy and Mariah Carey's E=MC2 respectively.
