THE BREEDERS BATTLE SOUND PROBLEMS AT COACHELLA

Rockers THE BREEDERS overcame a series of technical problems during their set at California's Coachella Festival to wow fans on the opening day of the event.

The band hit the main stage on Friday afternoon (25Apr08) and set out to keep the crowds entertained as they battled the sweltering desert heat.

They hit a number of sound troubles minutes into their performance, leaving singers Kim Deal and her twin sister Kelley to belt out their vocals at the top of their lungs in a bid to get their voices heard.

But the high-spirited pair soldiered on and closed their set with their hit song Cannonball, their cover of The Beatles' Happiness Is A Warm Gun, much to the approval of the throng of supporters, who cheered and applauded the group throughout their appearance.
