She is serious and sensible about the issue of love and gives frank, ‘on the nose’ advice to women on how to find the right man without wasting time on the wrong ones in between. Emma believes she has met her own perfect match in Richard (Colin Firth) a successful and conservative publishing executive. Of course matters of the heart are never as clean cut as Emma believes them to be! Just weeks before her wedding Emma discovers she is somehow already married to Patrick (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) an irresponsible but charming neighborhood fireman with a big secret …the marriage is no accident. It turns out Patrick is harboring a grudge -- his fiancé broke up with him after receiving relationship advice from Emma on her show. The “accidental” marriage is a prank Patrick pulled to cause chaos in Emma’s apparently perfect love life and show her what it feels like to have a complete stranger meddle with your life. Unable to come clean, Patrick goes along with the ruse pretending to be just as baffled as Emma. Whilst trying to figure out how to end the marriage their opposite approaches to life create much tension and chaos. But as they spend more time together, Patrick starts to fall in love with the woman he thinks ruined his future marriage and Emma starts to admire his carefree, reckless passion for life and doubt her own conservative, button-down views on life and love.
Pop superstar PRINCE stole the show at the Coachella Festival in California on Saturday night (26Apr08), turning the event into one big party as he thrilled fans with two encores.
Prince performing at Coachella Music Festival 2008 - Day 2. Indio, California - 26.04.08
The singer strutted onstage at just after 11pm, dressed in an all-white ensemble complete with glittery fringe, and played up to the 60,000-strong crowd's screams, declaring, "Coachella, I am here!"
After telling the desert audience, "You are the coolest place on earth right now!", he wasted no time in launching into his set, with his band striking up the chords to Jungle Love as singer Morris Day appeared onstage, while Prince showed off his skills on the guitar.
He continued to let his fingers do the talking as he rocked out on the guitar, welcoming Sheila E to sing another track, before jamming with him on the drums.
Later on in his set, Prince treated the packed crowd to his hits 1999 and Little Red Corvette, before stunning fans by pulling off the biggest surprise of the night - a unique cover of Radiohead's Creep, with an added guitar solo and extended falsetto.
But the performance didn't end there - Prince engaged the crowd with his own take on The Beatles' Come Together, urging his "choir" of fans to sing along to the chorus for his finale.
And just as the audience thought he wouldn't perform his seminal hit Purple Rain, he returned to the stage and reigned supreme with a stunning rendition of the classic track, leaving the crowd screaming for more.
He left the stage again, but came back minutes later for another encore, shouting: "They're telling me that we got to go, but I can't leave!"
Prince raced through Let's Go Crazy and then asserted his authority on the festival-goers with the triumphant statement, "From now on, this is Prince's house!"
With that, he cast off his guitar and finally strutted off stage, having made his signature symbol-shaped stamp on the Coachella audience.
AMY WINEHOUSE's father MITCH is seeking to have the star committed to a mental institution, because he is convinced it is the only way he can save his daughter from her alleged drug demons.
MITCH and AMY WINEHOUSE
Taxi driver Mitch Winehouse is desperate for the Grammy-winner to live a clean and sober lifestyle, and has grown increasingly worried over her erratic behaviour - which resulted in her arrest and subsequent police caution over accusations of assault earlier this week (begs21Apr08).
And now Mitch wants his troubled daughter to be sectioned under the U.K.'s Mental Health Act, because she has proven she is at risk of hurting herself and others.
He tells British newspaper the News of the World, "I want her sectioned. The situation is getting out of control. I want her off the street. I don't think being somewhere (in rehab) for six weeks is going to cure her problems. I think it needs far more radical measures.
"I've been on the phone to Amy's manager in Los Angeles and he's starting things rolling. They are going to be speaking to doctors, psychologists and everything else. Ultimately, it's the doctors who will decide if anybody is sectionable.
"I've told them (medical authorities) she is a danger to herself. There is evidence of self-harming and she's a danger to other people because she's attacked someone.
"Obviously as her dad I will try and do what's best for her. Unfortunately, what I think is best for her and what she thinks is best for her are two different things."
It's not the first time Mitch has expressed his desire to have Winehouse committed - he previously revealed his intentions in January (08), but hospital officials couldn't help, because she wasn't considered a danger to herself.
JAMES BROWN's widow TOMI RAE HYNIE has been ordered by a U.S. judge to submit her six-year-old son for DNA tests, to prove the late soul singer fathered the child.
TOMI RAE HYNIE
The Godfather of Soul died on Christmas Day (25Dec) in 2006, leaving the majority of his estate to trusts and charities.
But Hynie and the legend's six grown-up children are contesting the will, which failed to accommodate, or even mention, his wife or her son James Brown II.
The estate's trustees have questioned whether Brown II is one of the late star's offspring, and a South Carolina judge ruled this week (ends25Apr08) that the child must undergo DNA tests to determine whether he is the singer's legitimate heir.
But, Peter Shahid, the court-appointed lawyer for the child, claims the boy has already been receiving insurance benefits since Brown's death.
He added, "We have writings that he (Brown) has signed indicating that this is his son. He talks lovingly of his child. So all indications are this is the son of James Brown."
Brown II has 30 days to take the DNA test.
Meanwhile, Brown's family are still fighting trustees of his estate over the soul man's fortune, after accusing them of misappropriating funds to the tune of $7 million (GBP3.5 million).

Actor ROBERT BLAKE is celebrating a partial victory after a judge halved the $30 million (GBP15 million) civil court award he was ordered to pay his murdered wife's family.
ROBERT BLAKE
The 74-year-old was acquitted of the murder of Bonny Lee Bakley by a criminal jury in 2005, but was ordered to pay damages after he was found liable for her death by a civil court.
Blake challenged the decision at California's 2nd District Court of Appeal, but a judge upheld the original verdict, which ruled the star was partially responsible for his spouse's murder, although he cut the $30 million payout to $15 million (GBP7.5 million).
Bakley was shot dead in May 2001 while sitting in Blake's car, just six months after the pair married. The actor had left his wife alone to return to the restaurant they had just dined at to retrieve a gun he had left behind. He was then sued by Bakley's family for wrongful death.
Appearing in court on Friday (25Apr08), Blake's attorney M. Gerald Schwartzbach argued his client had been given a harsher ruling because of his celebrity, telling the court: "There are a lot of folks who can't accept that he was acquitted of murder. They think he got away with murder and they want to exact a price in civil court."
However, his claims were dismissed and Blake must now pay the $15 million to Bakley's family.

Backdraft actor William - who dates a transsexual onscreen in TV show Dirty Sexy Money - tells Out.com of a recent row between the pair: "I asked him, 'Do you think a gay couple should be married? And if not, do you think they deserve access to the same rights on a federal level and state level that you do?'
"(He responds) 'Because God said and the Bible says that marriage is an institution that exists solely between a man and a woman, blah, blah, blah', and he falls behind that crap.
"And I said, 'Well if you had a choice - if you and your wife were to die and your kids were still young, and you had a choice between your children being in foster care and potentially being physically and emotionally and sexually abused, as opposed to being adopted by a loving, healthy, caring lesbian or gay couple, what would you rather have?'
"He couldn't really answer, and I said, 'Thank God Dad isn't here on this earth right now, because he would be so devastated and so horrified.'"

PARIS HILTON
Thanking the Monkey: Rethinking the Way We Treat Animals writer Karen Dawn accuses the former party pals of being awful role models to youngsters who dream of having pets - because they own too many.
Dawn tells the New York Post, "We've already seen Paris go through dogs faster than mojitos (cocktails), and I bet nobody warned Britney that California might soon force drivers to keep dogs safely restrained in vehicles - like babies.
"An impulse purchase of a companion for the next 15 years? ... Nobody expects them to have the dogs much longer than 15 months."
Spears has a small collection of chihuahuas which no one seems to see anymore and Hilton recently boasted of breaking California's dog ownership laws by taking in seven pets.
