Jose Gonzalez releases In Our Nature Remixes EP on Earth Day April 22nd, 2008. Single for 'Teardrop' to follow May 6, 2008.
Having completed a highly successful 30 date Green tour of North America with Reverb Rock (reverbrock.org) - which helped to reduce the carbon footprint of the tour by 76 tons of CO2 - José González is set to release the In Our Nature Remixes EP (Digital Only) on Earth Day, April 22nd via Mute Records. The EP features tracks from the In Our Nature LP, remixed by the likes of Todd Terje, Penchenga Nord, Beatfanatic, and Landberg & Skogehall.
He follows that with the digital single for "Teardrop", to be released May 6th by Mute. The single will include the b-side "Four Forks Ache". ("Teardrop" is originally performed/recorded by Massive Attack)
On June 13th José will kick off a string of North American tour dates with an appearance at the 2008 Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival in Manchester, TN.

SPEARS + REID SET FOR OFF-BROADWAY SPOOF
BRITNEY SPEARS and TARA REID's troubles are set to become the stuff of comedy in a new off-Broadway show.

Jenn Harris will play Spears and Sarah Saltzberg will star as actress Reid in the upcoming premiere of Girls Day, Or Britney and Tara Stare into the Void and the Void Stares Back.
The "tragi-comedy," which debuts on 11 May (08) at the Ace of Clubs theatre in New York, also features an actor portraying Spears' ex Kevin Federline.
The plot of the play revolves around a fictitious afternoon Spears and Reid spend together, a month after the pop star checks out of a rehabilitation clinic.

DISNEY LAUNCHES NEW FILM LABEL - DISNEYNATURE
To produce outstanding nature documentaries with the world's top documentary filmmakers.
The Walt Disney Studios is launching Disneynature, a prestigious new production banner that will literally go to the ends of the earth to produce major big screen nature documentaries, Studios Chairman Dick Cook announced.
In the great tradition established by Walt Disney himself, Disneynature will offer spectacular entertainment about the world in which we live. The significance of the new banner goes beyond the studio, with The Walt Disney Company embracing this new initiative around the world through a number of its businesses, including publications, licensing, parks and educational outreach. Disney veteran Jean-Francois Camilleri, who has served as senior vice president and general manager for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures France will head the new unit. Disneynature will be based in France, where Camilleri and his team will oversee the initiation, development and acquisition of high quality feature projects.

Among the first films to be released domestically under the new label will be Earth, from award-winning British producer/director Alastair Fothergill, whose credits include the landmark Planet Earth series for the BBC and The Discovery Channel and The Blue Planet. Earth, which is produced by BBC Worldwide and Greenlight Media and co-directed by Mark Linfield, will take us on a tour of our home planet as we've never seen it before. It will be narrated by renowned actor James Earl Jones and will premiere theatrically on Earth Day, April 22, 2009. The film will also be released under the Disneynature banner in Latin America.

* THE CRIMSON WING: Mystery of the Flamingos
Co-directed by Matthew Aeberhard and Leander Ward, and produced by Paul Webster (Kudos Pictures), this film will take viewers to the isolated shores of Lake Natron in northern Tanzania for a birds-eye view of the mysterious lives of flamingos. Worldwide roll-out begins December 2008
* OCEANS
Nearly three-quarters of the earth's surface is covered by oceans. French co-directors Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud have set out to capture the full expanse of these waters that have played such a crucial and constant role in the history and sustenance of man. The deep and abundant oceans are places of great mysteries and dangers that this film will dare to explore. Domestic release 2010
* ORANGUTANS: One Minute to Midnight

Late singer ELVIS PRESLEY once paid a secret visit to England - putting an end to 50-years of speculation that he never saw the country.

The king of rock 'n roll visited his pal Tommy Steele in London at the age of 23, according to theatre tycoon Bill Kenwright.
The 1958 trip destroys the longtime rumour that Presley never visited England during his lifetime - only neighbouring Scotland.
Kenwright says, "Elvis flew in for a day and Tommy showed him round London. He showed him the Houses of Parliament and spent the day with him."
A spokesman for Elvis' Graceland estate says, "To the best of our knowledge there was only one stopover at Scotland.
"We are researching our archives. There are some undocumented areas of Elvis' life."

And the musician says any collaboration with the show would not affect the band.

Latina superstar SHAKIRA has praised British Prime Minster GORDON BROWN for his plans to improve education in the developing world.

The 31-year-old singer and the leader held a telephone conference with World Bank president Robert Zoellick to speak about their support of the Global Campaign for Education (GCE), which aims to have every child in the world in school by 2015.
And the star, who is also a UNICEF goodwill ambassador, was impressed with Brown's intentions to achieve universal education .
She says, "I think he (Brown) is a man with wonderful intentions and who is also very pro-active and who has been working very hard for this issue of education.
"I applaud his work and applaud the fact that he is brave enough to talk to celebrities like me... I think we are all on the same boat trying to get to the same shore, and trying to provide education for all children in the world."
Shakira also denies she is being 'used' by Brown to boost his popularity in the U.K.
She says, "Absolutely not. I think he is a man with wonderful intentions and who is also very pro-active and who has been working very hard for this issue of education."

West and Phifer went public with their engagement last year (07) and were planning a winter wedding when the rap star's mother Donda died in November (07).
Rumours spread that the couple was secretly married over Christmas (07), but these proved not to be true.
Sources claim the couple, who started dating in 2002, had been struggling for some time before they quietly split.
One insider says, "They'd been having problems. Kanye is really focused on his (live) show; he's putting everything into the show right now.
"Alexis is a nice girl, but Kanye has been going through a rough time. They hit a rough patch and for now they've split."
Phifer's career is also taking off - she has just launched her clothing line, Ghita.

The Trouble singer admits her band and crew bosses staged an intervention on her last tour - because they thought she was hitting the gym too often.
She tells Allure magazine, "I'm very dedicated to staying in shape when I'm on tour. In fact, last year my crew staged an intervention to try to get me to stop going to the gym so much.
"I just get so into it. I love to sweat and I love to feel like a beast."
And she hates the idea of hitting 150 pounds, like she did over New Year three years ago.
She adds, "I didn't notice until I saw photos... I was like, 'Who is that? Is that me?'
"So I went to Big Bear Lake (California) with a friend for a month to study Muay Thai, which is a martial art that's similar to kick boxing."

LATEST: The object of DANIEL RADCLIFFE's affections has been found after the HARRY POTTER star confessed he'd fallen for a mystery girl at an Australian event last year (07).

The young Brit recently told the Sydney Daily Telegraph newspaper that he had been bewitched by a girl with the most amazing eyes at the 2007 AFI awards.
Radcliffe said, "She looked like she wanted to pounce on me. She stared at me the whole night and I was going to get her number and then I couldn't find her."
After a search for the mystery girl, Radcliffe gave up - but now his lady love has been found by the newspaper.
She's 20-year-old Sydney insurance worker Cassi McKay, who admits to speaking briefly to the actor at the awards party.
She says, "We said hello and had a quick chat and for the rest of the night, just because I was fascinated, we were sort of smiling and making eye contact. I couldn't believe when he said he was looking for the girl."
But any plans Radcliffe had of romancing the girl have been dashed - she has been in a serious relationship with her boyfriend for the past two years.
However, the pretty Aussie is open to the idea of meeting up with the movie star again: "I've told my boyfriend about him and I'd be keen to meet up."

HARMON DARES TO STRIP FOR ALLURE MAGAZINE
Former LAW + ORDER star ANGIE HARMON is still struggling to believe she bared all for a magazine - because she's such a prude in real life.

The actress joined Gabrielle Union, Ana Ortiz and singer Jill Scott for Allure magazine's annual naked spread, and she admits she had more problems disrobing than her fellow celebrities.
Harmon says, "The hardest part was when the robe came off and I was like, 'And now I'm... naked.' You wonder if they can see your Caesarian scar."
Harmon also reveals she has skinny-dipping photos she took on holiday with her husband that she can't bear to get developed because she fears what photo lab assistants will see.
She explains, "We were on a private beach in Bora Bora and we took one picture of our heads under the water, but we can never develop the film because we don't know what else is showing."
Union, Harmon's fellow 'stripper' for the tasteful new spread, admits she worked hard to make sure she looked great for the photo session.
She explains, "I've always been athletic, but I stepped it up for this. I ran up and down stadium stairs and went hiking. I'm cool with being naked, but I wanted to push myself."

UMA THURMAN is urging all the parents of American adolescents to check out her new film - because she feels it could help to halt the next school shooting tragedy.

High schools and colleges across America have been put on high alert following a string of shooting incidents, sparked by the Columbine High School tragedy in 1999.
And Thurman feels that parents should be more in-tune with their children's thoughts, feelings and worries - so that clues about violent teens under pressure can be acted upon to prevent a disaster.
Playing a suburban mother haunted by a high school massacre that claimed the life of her best friend, Thurman believes her new film, The Life Before Her Eyes, will give all parents pause for thought.
She says, "I feel really certain that probably, in a few hundred cases, a parent is gonna watch this movie with their 12 year old, 14 year old, 17 year old, and, in the conversation they have afterwards, they're going to learn something about their kid that they never knew.
"It's gonna enlighten and benefit them. The conversation is gonna blow their mind about what that kid has been holding onto like being bullied or how maybe they went through an abortion or how maybe they had a tough boyfriend who treated them disrespectfully.
"If it's your son, it might be how they had a girl they dated and an abortion happened to them. Who knows? The movie deals with some real things that cause real feelings and that's a pleasure to have that out there whether it be on the screen or the video box. At some time I'd like to show my kids the film."

MCGREGOR FINDS QUALITY OF LIFE AS AN EX-SMOKER
Movie star EWAN McGREGOR has a better quality of life now he has quit smoking because he no longer has to hunt for cigarettes, ashtrays and lighters before he can sit and relax.

The Scottish actor quit just over a year ago with the help of hypnotherapy and now he can't believe he had so many problems giving up in the past.
He says, "The idea of life without cigarettes is terrifying but it's so much better... and it's so easy - you just don't smoke.
"I found the most annoying thing about cigarettes - apart from the fact that they give you emphysema and cancer and it makes you stink and not have any money, and you have to stand outside in the snow, and all of those things - is that you couldn't do anything without them.
"I couldn't stand the fact that I couldn't just sit down - I'd have to go and find my cigarettes and, 'Where's my ashtray and my lighter?' I'd always be looking for things... Now I can just sit down."
And McGregor insists that, if he can quit, anyone can: "I did it as a second profession; I used to act and smoke."

WEEZER SET TO RELEASE SIXTH ALBUM 'WEEZER'
The album is set to release on June 24, 2008 on DGC/Interscop E Records; First single 'Pork And Beans' available digitally on April 22, 2008.
Weezer one of the biggest and most influential bands of the last decade will for the third time in its six-album history release a self-titled album. The new album will hit streets on June 24 through DGC/Interscope Records.
