Reunited British rockers SWERVEDRIVER will kick off their 2008 world tour by becoming the latest act to reform at the Coachella Festival.
The California music event has become known for bringing disbanded acts back together with Crowded House, Rage Against The Machine and Jesus + Mary Chain playing reunion shows at the festival last year (07).
And, when the 2008 Coachella kicks off next week (25-27Apr08), Swervedriver will join fellow reformed British band The Verve on the bill.
The group announced a hiatus in 1999, which lasted until 2007, when drummer Jez Hindmarsh announced plans to reunite and tour on the band's online message board.
Swervedriver are expected to be the last major act added to the Coachella bill. Last week, Coachella bosses confirmed reports Prince would be among the headliners.
