ALIENS VS. PREDATOR REQUIEM

BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD

Cast: Ethan Hawke, Marisa Tomei, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Albert Finney, Michael Shannon

Synopsis: Master filmmaker Sidney Lumet directs this absorbing suspense thriller about a family facing the worst enemy of all – itself. Oscar-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman plays Andy, an overextended broker who lures his younger brother, Hank (Ethan Hawke) into a larcenous scheme: the pair will rob a suburban mom-and-pop jewelry store that appears to be the quintessential easy target. The problem is, the store owners are Andy and Hank’s actual mom and pop and, when the seemingly perfect crime goes awry, the damage lands right at their doorstep. Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei plays Hoffman’s trophy wife, who is having a clandestine affair with Hawke, and the stellar cast also includes Albert Finney as the family patriarch who pursues justice at all costs, completely unaware that the culprits he is hunting are his own sons. A classy, classic heist-gone-wrong drama in the tradition of “The Killing” and Lumet’s own “The Anderson Tapes,” BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOW YOU’RE DEAD is smart enough to know that we often have the most to fear from those who are near and dear.

THE FINAL SEASON

Cast: Michael Angarano, Rachael Leigh Cook, Sean Astin, Tom Arnold, Powers Boothe

Synopsis: From the director of The Sandlot comes the true story of an underdog coach and the team that must defend their legacy against insurmountable odds. In the small town of Norway, Iowa, the high school baseball team, led by legendary Coach Jim Van Scoyoc (Powers Boothe, TV's 'Deadwood'), has won 19 State Championships. But the small town heroes are dealt a series of unexpected blows that threaten to rob them of their 20th championship win. When talk of a school merger gets serious and Coach Scoyoc is fired, then replaced by his 24-year-old assistant, Kent Stock (Sean Astin, Rudy and The Lord of the Rings trilogy), failure seems inevitable. Tom Arnold, Rachael Leigh Cook and Michael Angarano join an excellent ensemble cast in this inspirational family gem.

LARS AND THE REAL GIRL

Cast: Emily Mortimer, Kelli Garner, Patricia Clarkson, Ryan Gosling, Paul Schneider

Synopsis: Sometimes you find love where you'd least expect it. Just ask Lars (Academy Award-Nominee© Ryan Gosling), a sweet but quirky guy who thinks he's found the girl of his dreams in a life-sized doll named Bianca. Lars is completely content with his artificial girlfriend, but when he develops feelings for Margo, an attractive co-worker, Lars finds himself lost in a hilariously unique love triangle, hoping to somehow discover the real meaning of true love. Offbeat and endearing, this romantic comedy takes a fresh look at dating and relationships and dares to ask the question: What's so wrong with being happy?

IN THE NAME OF THE KING: A DUNGEON SIEGE TALE

Cast: Burt Reynolds, Claire Forlani, Jason Statham, Leelee Sobieski, Ray Liotta

Synopsis: The life of a hardworking man known only as Farmer (Jason Statham) is changed forever when a marauding band of Krug—animalistic brutes in the thrall of an evil sorcerer—thunders down upon the unsuspecting village of Stonebridge, killing his son and kidnapping his wife, Solana (Claire Forlani). Galvanized by his grief, the once peace-loving peasant leads his mentor Norick (Ron Perlman) and brother-in-law Bastian (Will Sanderson) in pursuit of the Krug army to free Solana.
As the Krug overrun the countryside, the King’s magus Merick discovers the true source of their power: his old rival, Gallian (Ray Liotta), a formidable and power-hungry wizard. Gallian plans to use his hellish militia to overthrow King Konreid (Burt Reynolds) and place his sniveling pawn, Duke Fallow (Matthew Lillard), on the throne.
While the King’s forces ride forth to engage the bloodthirsty Krug, Farmer and his companions slip unseen through the treacherous mountain passes of Ehb into uncharted territory. A daring nighttime raid on a Krug encampment turns tragic when Norick and Bastian are captured and Farmer barely escapes with his life.
Desperate to find his wife and friends, Farmer joins the royal army in an epic battle. His extraordinary heroics catch the attention of both Gallian and Merick, who suspect there is more to the simple country squire than meets the eye. In a final confrontation that will determine the fate of Ehb, it is up to Farmer to claim his birthright and defeat Gallian, or allow the evil wizard to take control of the land.

JUNO

Synopsis: Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page) is a cool, confident teenager who takes a nine-month detour into adulthood when she's faced with an unplanned pregnancy-and sets out to find the perfect parents for her baby. With the help of her charmingly unassuming boyfriend (Michael Cera), supportive dad (J.K Simmons) and no-nonsense stepmom (Allison Janney), Juno sets her sights on an affluent couple (Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman) longing to adopt their first child.

LOCH NESS TERROR
