U.S. rockers THE SAMPLES have split after 21 years of making music.
Frontman Sean Kelly announced on Monday (07Apr08) on the band's MySpace.com page: "The long and winding road for The Samples has ended".
He adds, "I feel a bit like Forest Gump when he stopped running, turned around, and said 'I think I am going to go home now.'"
However, the star refused to rule out reuniting with The Samples original line-up next year (09).
Following the split, Kelly is attempting to sell band memorabilia, and is offering private guitar and vocal lessons via webcam, according to Spinner.com.
